
The V2S high-pressure turbo is the inner turbo in the BorgWarner compound twin-turbo system on the 2008-2010 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550 Super Duty 6.4L Power Stroke diesel. The 6.4L Power Stroke was the first light-duty diesel to use compound turbocharging. The HP turbo is a 52mm VGT with electronic actuator that spools first for low-RPM response. The HP and LP turbos are bolted together as one compound assembly but can be serviced separately. When diagnosing turbo problems on the 6.4L, determine which half has failed before ordering.
