V2S Low Pressure Turbocharger for 2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Power Stroke

The V2S low-pressure turbo is the outer turbo in the BorgWarner compound twin-turbo system on the 2008-2010 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550 Super Duty 6.4L Power Stroke diesel. The LP turbo is a 65mm fixed-geometry unit with no VGT and no electronic actuator. It provides high-RPM airflow volume, complementing the V2S high-pressure turbo (52mm VGT). Ford OEM 8C3Z6K682AARM. Built new, dynamically balanced, ships with gaskets. We supply diesel shops and distributors.

Common failure modes

  • Bearing wear — the LP turbo bearings wear over time, causing oil leaks and shaft play.
  • Seal failure — oil past seals into the intake or exhaust. Blue or white smoke.

Installation

  • The LP turbo is the outer turbo with the downpipe attached.
